The energy of the Vogels, the happiness, the way they do things, and especially the detailed attention that they give to each and every one of the guests—it's amazing.
Hi, I'm Avrohom. I’m from Mexico City, and now I live here in Jerusalem. I met the Vogels about two years ago when I went to the holy city of Tzfat to spend Yom Kippur. The lady I was renting the apartment from recommended that I go to the Vogels for Seudat HaMafseket. I called the Rabbi, set it up, and I went.
I wasn't expecting much at the time. I thought I was just going to a rabbi's house for a meal, as is very common here in Israel. But when I got there, I quickly realized that was not the case. The energy of the Vogels, the happiness, the way they do things, and especially the detailed attention that they give to each and every one of the guests—it's amazing. I got really, really inspired to do Hachnasat Orchim the way they do. And if you're going to Safed and you need a place, I fully recommend the Vogels. Don't mess it up.

They have an open home, and it is a constant flow of chesed.
They listen to people for hours when they have something to say, even if it’s not important. But it is important because it comes from that person’s neshama, and they’re here for that.

The spiritual environment you feel there: literally shakes the building.

I remember the huge table, with people from all over the world: we felt we were all one big family.
My wife and I met all these incredible people, and we were just blown away by the experience.
