This family is needed in Tzfat, and there is nothing quite like what they provide.
Shalom Aleichem. In the Haggadah for Pesach, we read, "Ha Lachma Anya," which means, "This is the bread of affliction that our ancestors ate in the land of Egypt." We say, "Kol dichfin yeitei v’yeichol," which means, "All who are hungry, come and eat." This is an announcement we make at the Seder meal. In some communities, this announcement was made in the synagogue to invite guests to join the meal.
The Vogel family embodies this principle every Shabbat and throughout the week. They are constantly welcoming yeshiva boys, seminary girls, and guests from all over who come to Tzfat. Their home is a center of inspiration and light, attracting many souls every Shabbat. The Vogels do an exceptional job of welcoming, feeding, and supporting these beautiful neshamos.
Supporting the Vogels in their work is a great mitzvah. Whoever helps with this will be blessed with the blessings of Shabbat, the blessings of Tzfat, and the blessings of kiruv, of bringing people closer to their faith. Thank you so much.

They have an open home, and it is a constant flow of chesed.
They listen to people for hours when they have something to say, even if it’s not important. But it is important because it comes from that person’s neshama, and they’re here for that.

I remember the huge table, with people from all over the world: we felt we were all one big family.
My wife and I met all these incredible people, and we were just blown away by the experience.
